Driver first, always

Why drive with Hoosier Tex Express

We are committed to driver safety. That promise shapes everything a driver lives with day to day: the equipment you are handed, the schedule you are given, and the person who answers when you call in.

What you get

Six reasons drivers sign on and stay

01

Safety before the schedule

You have the standing authority to stop, to refuse an unsafe load, and to call in when conditions turn. We would rather a load arrive late than a driver arrive hurt.

02

Honest dispatch

You get the details you need to plan your day from a dispatcher who answers the phone and treats you like a professional — not a load number.

03

Equipment you can trust

Maintained trucks and trailers, and defect reports that turn into repairs instead of being waved off. Nobody here is asked to run something they do not trust.

04

Miles that keep you moving

Freight across all 48 lower states, with lanes that fit the schedule you actually want to run.

05

Home time we plan for

Tell us what home time you need and we build your lanes around it — rather than surprising you with it after you have signed on.

06

Room to grow

Company driver, owner-operator, team or dedicated — positions open as our lanes do, and drivers here move up into them.

The equipment

What you will be pulling

Equipment and lane assignments vary by position — each posting on the job board says what it asks for.

Dry van & reefer

Dry van & reefer

Enclosed freight on steady interstate lanes. Doors, seals and set points checked by the driver who runs it.

Flatbed & heavy

Flatbed & heavy

Coils, building materials and machinery — loads that reward a driver who knows securement.

Long haul

Long haul

Coast-to-coast lanes for drivers who like the road and want the schedule that comes with it.

Before you apply

The questions drivers ask us first

Every trip here starts with a walk-around. It is the part of the job we refuse to rush.

Do I have to live in Texas?

No. We are based in Texas, but we hire CDL drivers who live anywhere in the lower 48 states. Tell us where you run out of and we will look at what fits.

What happens after I apply?

Your application goes straight to our recruiting desk, and a real person calls you back to talk routes, home time and equipment. There is no automated screening to get past.

What if nothing on the job board fits my route?

Send your information anyway. Positions vary as our lanes move, and we will call you when one opens that matches how you want to work.

Can I ask questions before applying?

Yes — call (940) 290-2419 and ask for recruiting. We would rather answer your questions up front than have you apply blind.

Ready when you are

The application takes a few minutes, and recruiting calls you back.
